“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.”
– Genesis 1:2
NOW creation begins! As the gentle rays of light softly pierce through the profound blackness of the “deep,” we witness streaks and flashes of energy, embodying the moment when “God divided the light from the darkness.” This pivotal instant, often referred to by science as The Big Bang, seems to resonate with the echoes of the biblical narrative, inviting us to reflect on the harmonious connection between these perspectives.
In a poetic verse of Psalms we hear how the LORD divided the light from the dark with arrows and then the waters could be seen and the foundations of what had been created could be seen. The universe, the realms of the visible and the invisible, the ALL THAT IS, Energy – IS.
The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire…he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings and discomfited them. Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered….
Psalms 18:13-15
The people of ancient times understood two realms:
- the forces they could see
- the forces they could not
Throughout the Bible, the word light is used to describe the forces of energy. The people of the time could see the properties of light, but they were also aware that there were forces that they could not see and these they referred to as “the invisible.”
The Cosmic Code of Creation (Lueck)
They used light to describe visible energy — fire, sun, illumination. But they also sensed the presence of unseen forces, the subtle currents that shaped their world.
They called this realm the invisible.
