A wisp - an image of the potential energy to represent God.

The Harmony of Creation

The Teachings

Energy as the Foundation of the Universe

Energy is the all-embracing power of the universe, and it cannot be destroyed. It exists and there is no other explanation for it, a mystery that will never be resolved. Our cosmos is made of matter, all of it, but there can be no matter without energy for matter is a form of energy. That is what God is.
The Cosmic Code of Creation

Energy, Darkness, and the Void

The exquisite interplay of darkness and light, energy and form come together to sculpt the magnificent tapestry of existence.

Before creation takes form, there is only energy — unshaped, unseen, infinite. The ancient texts call this darkness, the void, the deep. It is not the absence of God, but the presence of pure potential.

The most profound understandings of ‘darkness’ and ‘void’ arrive in the first verse of Genesis.

ooo

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. — The Book of Genesis

Just as the first verse in the King James Bible was an all-inclusive statement that God created the heaven and the earth, the second verse states clearly that, as yet, there was no earth formed. There was no matter, no solids, no liquids and no gases. There were no tiny specks of dust, no quarks, no electrons, no quantum particles—Nothing!
(Lueck) The Cosmic Code of Creation

Without form and void. Genesis refers to there being only emptiness and darkness upon the deep.

The Tao Te Ching also refers to this ‘darkness‘.

However, the mystery and the reality
arise from the same source.
And this is called ‘darkness’.

Darkness is born of darkness.
The beginning of all understanding.

Tao Te Ching, Chapter 1

In the first verse of Genesis, Lueck (Cosmic Code of Creation) succinctly defines form and void.
There was nothing.
Nothing, is the infinite, the darkness.

Astronomers have discovered that the perceived emptiness of space in our universe is not empty – it is dark energy making up 68% of the universe – and together with dark matter it makes up 95 % of the total mass-energy of the universe.

This very first verse of the Tao Te Ching represents a pre-creation story, succinctly referring to a force of energy called darkness – the first energy – before God, before creation. Perhaps it is the CREATOR of GOD. I do not know.

We don’t know what dark energy is – except that it is ‘energy’ and we can see its effects in the universe as the force that counteracts the pull of gravity, causing the expansion of the universe.

The Void

The Tao is like an empty vessel: can never be emptied or filled.
Infinitely profound, it is the source of all things…It is hidden but always present…It is older than the concept of God.
-Chapter 4 Tao Te Ching

We work with substance, but it is the vacuum that we use.
Chapter 11 Tao Te Ching

The Vacuum / The Source

The ‘vacuum’ is the infinite, eternal energy- the source of All – Everything.
From this Source we create the substance of life.

That is what void means. There was nothing formed into anything. There was just this very cold and empty black hole, “and darkness was upon the face of the deep.” (Lueck) The Cosmic Code of Creation

A word to describe this empty vessel is ‘vacuum’. Nothing, void, infinite, eternal. The Tao is the source of ALL – and that it was here before the concept or idea of God. Never be emptied or filled is infinite and eternal.

While the Tao offers a poetic lens on darkness as origin, modern metaphysical texts like The New Akashic Records expand this understanding by framing energy as both the source and substance of all that is.

Everything is Energy.

All energy moves on a continuum between potential to form.
Therefore, all energy is either potential or form
or a part of the flow somewhere in between.

Take Away Thoughts

May this teaching remind you that before form, before light and creation, there was only energy, the infinite and eternal.
